Becky had a very positive visit with her surgeon yesterday. He is pleased with the healing of her incision and with her progress in physical therapy, though he did express concern about the delay in getting started with PT after leaving the hospital. He emphasized the importance of making progress with Becky's left hip now by telling us that after the other hip is replaced, it will never get better than the left hip gets now. That means we must really work to regain full use of the left hip so the right hip can follow it to full use.
Becky was able to spend the afternoon outside after returning home. In the evening, she went for a walk (using her walker) with our beautiful sheltie, Chester, and his best four-legged friend, our cat, Oreo. She had to sit in her wheelchair occasionally, but it was great for her to be able to get out and walk some.
It's clear that we tend to most appreciate the blessings we have when we lose or nearly lose them. Becky nearly lost her life. She now marvels at the simple details of life that most of us take for granted. I nearly lost Becky. Now I thank God for her every day. It's amazing to be part of the miracle of her healing. There is no way to adequately describe the experience in words. Thanks to all who continually pray for her and for our family. The encouragement, empathy, and love shown by so many is more valuable than you know.

Mrs. Bounds,

Dear Becky,
It is such great news to hear that you are home and able to walk outside in this gorgeous weather! You are in my daily prayers and I am thankful that God saved your life. I know that many wonderful experiences and events are in store for you.
With love,

Dear Becky,
Greetings from Huntsville!
I am so glad to know that you (and your furry friend) were able to get out and about a bit in this lovely weather.
Recovery can be a full time job, but totally worth the effort. I'll keep praying for you as you work through all the challenges and rely on our Creator for healing.
Love, Bonnie A Strub
P.S.-You have great taste in dogs. We wound up with the 4 "Heinz 57" types that came our way and we couldn't resist. The oldest will turn 16 soon and we've had her since she was six weeks old.
Oops! My secret's out. I ramble.
Have a great Sabbath!:)<
Bonnie:)<
Here's wishing you a very warm, sunny day--weatherwise and in your life as well! Keep up the good progress and with God's help you'll be good as new before very long!
You are always in our prayers.
Love, The Bergers

Aunt Becky--
Glad to hear you are home and getting out and about some. Mom told me about the K-9 walk that was so much fun. We are so proud of you and will be constantly cheering in your corner. We love you all soo... MUCH!

Natalie, Larry, William and Emily-Olivia
Dear Becky,
It is so wonderful to hear that you are walking! I was very choked up and had eyes full of tears, as I watched you walk across the floor at Adriane's wedding. I am overwelemed with happiness for you and your wonderful family to hear that you are walking more often.
I am very impressed with your accomplishments, strength, and endurance. Keep up the great work! You are always in my prayers and thoughts.
Love you,
Gina Whitley
Hi Becky and Dennis,
You are constantly in my prayers.
May God bless you both as you take a step at a time through this recovery process. May He also strenghten your love for each other.
Warm regards,
Maxine
Becky, in all the years I've known you I never had to hide my eyes b/c of the beaming light from your face. But now, your face shines too bright. I guess that happened after Christ spent His precious & private time on it. He beautified your face w/ His light.
Whenever this wreck thing happened to you, I remember praying for you and not worrying one bit (about your coming out of it long-term). I hoped and prayed for this short-term comma in your life bringing long-term results. I felt confident that God wasn't putting a period on your life yet. And acutally if your life were a sentence, you got a comma about half-way through your life.
Wait, that might not be right. A comma usally pauses in the sentence and the same thought continues.
Your wreck was more like a semicolon...so that your life is now two independent clauses...Before the wreck and After the wreck.
Before--you were enlightened but complacent?
After--illuminated w/ humility.
You're doing great Becky and we love you; your example is powerful.
We Must Proceed On,
Josh, Melissa & Emma

Hey Becky,
Well, it's been an unforgettable two years. Don't ever think we've forgotten about you, nor have we ever given up praying for your complete recovery. You have exhibited such strength, faith and courage... you've been an inspiration to so many!
Keep up the good fight, as the "fighter" I know you to be. You are one of the most determined people I've ever come across, and I truly believe that that has attributed to your truly miraculous recovery.
We love you and ask God for your continued progress daily!
With much love,
Sharon V
Glad to hear of your progress. I know the job ahead of you seems endless, but your reward is well worth the effort. We send up our prayers that your strength holds to the finish line.
Christine Whitley
Isn't it wonderful that God never tires of hearing our prayers! There certainly are many going up in your behalf and He hears them all. We thank Him for your progress in healing and know He will bring about total recovery in His good time.
Stay positive and close to God and He will stay close to you!
With much love, The Bergers
